LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover men's soccer team (1-1-0 overall) dropped a second half heartbreaker to the Golden Eagles of Spalding on Sunday evening.
The Blue and Red pressured the net early in the first half as sophomore
Omar Dizdar(Bardstown, Ky.) landed a shot that was denied by the Spalding keeper.
Sophomore
David Snowden (Goshen, Ky.) got the last attempt on frame in the first half falling empty handed. Hanover finished with a game-high five first half shots.
In the second half, Spalding got the final say finding the back of the net in the 77
th minute securing the 1-0 victory.
Dizdar led the Panther attack with a team-high four shots, three of which landed on goal.
Hanover returns to action on Friday, Sept. 8 when they travel to Kenyon.
