Allwood claims 50th career coaching win as Wlax defeats Bethany

HANOVER, Ind. – Head coach Brandon Allwood claimed his 50th career win at the helm of the Blue and Red (3-5 overall) as they defeated Bethany 12-9.

The Panthers tallied a game-high 29 shots, led by senior Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) with a team-high 11 shots. Sophomore Abby Mensing (Parker, Co.) paced the attack with five goals.

Bethany surged ahead 2-0 when senior Taylor McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) halted the attack. The flood gates opened for Hanover as they rattled off five straight goals behind three from Masi McNally-Henriksen. The outburst propelled HC on top 5-2.

Late into the second frame, the Bison found the back of the net but Hanover once again remained all gas. Abby Mensing and senior Mya Urba (Westfield, Ind.) scored the final two goals of the first half giving HC the 7-3 advantage.

After another four goal erruption, the Bisons looked to make a late game push rattling off the final four goals despite being tamed by the Panthers 12-9.

Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, March 27 at Wittenberg. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
