HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon welcoming Earlham and Transylvania to the Zeddies Tennis Center.
EARLHAM
Hanover dominated the Quakers of Earlham winning the contest 8-0.
Junior
Charley Williams (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and junior
Alberto Castillo (Pozuelo De Alarcon, Spain) won no. 1 doubles 8-3 while the team of freshman
Ashley Hunter (Manchester United Kingdom of Great Britian) and sophomore
Vitor Bertti Bergamin (Paulina, Brazil) captured no. 2 doubles 8-1.
Senior
Jaya Sivesh (Nagoercoil, India) and fifth year
Connor Garrison (Louisville, Ky.) completed the sweep of doubles, winning no. 3 doubles 8-0.
In singles action, Sivesh won no. 1 singles 6-3, 4-1.
The success continued as Hunter won no. 2 singles 6-2, 6-2 and Castillo no. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
TRANSYLVANIA
The Blue and Red surrendered a competitive 6-2 decision to the Pioneers.
Williams and Castillo won no. 1 doubles 8-6.
In singles action, Castillo picked up the lone Hanover win at no. 3 singles 6-3, 6-1.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 27 when they travel to Anderson.
