Panthers Compete at Transylvania

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Panthers took on the Pioneers of Transylvania over the weekend, combining for 36 points.
 
Sophomore Lucy Schoenlein (Indianapolis, Ind.) captured the top spot in the 1,000-yard freestyle winning the race with a time of 13:00.75. She also captured third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:02.98.
 
Lucy Schoenlein, freshman Lawson Phillips (Maryville, Tenn.), freshman Anna Williams (Fortville, Ind.), and senior Aidah Shuttleworth (Beavercreek, Ohio) finished second overall in the 400-yard freestyle relay touching the wall in a time of 4:18.91.
 
In the 400-yard medley relay, the team of Anna Williams, Aidah Shuttleworth, freshman Lindsay Brown (Milford, Ohio), and Lawson Phillips finished third in a time of 4:55.68.
 
Sophomore Alyssa Hess (Georgetown, Ind.) took third in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 29.98 seconds. Lindsay Brown finished fourth overall with a time of 30.14 seconds. She also landed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard freestyle.
 
Shuttleworth took fourth in the 200-yard IM touching the wall with a season-best time of 2:40.30.
 
Williams took third overall in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:13.37.
 
Hanover returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 13 when they compete as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
