WILMORE, Ky. – Hanover (3-0 overall) remained perfect on the season, defeating Asbury in non-conference action 85-67.

Alexis Wines tallied her third straight 20-plus game, netting 21 points with five made three-pointers.

Kaitlyn Lorenzi claimed her third straight double-double, netting 18 points with 13 rebounds. She finished the contest 8-of-9 from the free throw line.

Sammy Berman also reached double-digit scoring, adding 18 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover surged ahead early, building a 19-14 advantage after one quarter of play and never turned back. Pacing the scoring was the duo of Lorenzi and Wines.
The Panthers extend the difference to 38-28 by halftime, fueled by balanced scoring.
In the second half, Asbury looked to stage a comeback, cutting the lead to single digits. Lorenzi hit a crucial layup at the 9:24 mark that pushed the Panther lead to 40-31. The offense responded, keeping the Eagles at arm's length to enter the final period with a 61-43 advantage.
Hanover's offense exploded in the fourth quarter, shooting an impressive 53.3 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from beyond the arc. Berman put the exclamation point on the victory as she drained a three-pointer with just eight seconds remaining, pushing the Panthers to the 85-67 win.
