Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – Hanover (13-11 overall, 7-10 HCAC) struggled to keep pace with the Franklin offense on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Grizzlies 78-62.

Alexis Wines led Hanover with a team-high 16 points. She added five rebounds and two assists.
Freshman
Emerson Vlcan had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Blue and Red. Senior
Kaitlyn Lorenzi finished with a balanced afternoon scoring 10, dishing out seven assists and pulling down six rebouds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In an even first quarter that saw the two teams locked at 20-20, the Panthers used offensive success early. Junior
Sammy Berman and Vlcan paced the outburst propelling Hanover to a 10-2 lead. However, Franklin connected a pair of triples to close out the frame on a 13-3 run.
The momentum carried into the second quarter as they captured a 27-20 difference. Wines ended the push as she knocked down a three-pointer at the 6:50 mark. But Franklin continued to sink baskets as they pushed the lead to 42-29 at the half.
The second half saw the duo of Berman and Vlcan deliver blows. Vlcan added a pair of free throws to pull HC within 47-35. Despite the quick scores, Franklin combated with a seven-point run for a 61-38 advantage. The lead deemed too much for the Blue and Red as they dropped the HAC road test.
Hanover concludes the regular season on Wednesday when they welcome Transylvania for the Lexi Riggles Game.
