LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Panthers (13-13 overall, 7-11 HCAC) bowed out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at no. 1 seed Transylvania, 70-48.

Macy Cline led the Panthers with a team-high 16 points, including an impressive 8-of-10 from the floor.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover jumped out of the gate quickly as the duo of Cline and junior
Sammy Berman pulled Hanover within 11-8. They continued to grind getting the lead moments into the second quarter following a Ernstes jumper. Cline remained red hot as she netted six straight points to extend the Panther lead, 23-16.
The lead reached 27-18 at the midway point when Transylvania came storming back. They were able to cut the difference to 35-31 at the intermission. Cline finished the second quarter with 10 points to lead the offensive surge.
Despite the first half success, the Panther offensive output slowed significantly. Hanover was held to just four points in the third quarter as the Pioneers were able to claim a 55-39 advantage. Hanover finished the contest shooting 43 percent from the floor as they bowed out of the HCAC Tournament.
