ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – The Panthers split day one at the Pioneer Classic, defeating Denison before falling to DePauw.
GAME ONE
Sophomore
Lulu Van Beek got the win in the circle throwing six complete innings with five strikeouts.
At the dish, sophomore
Addison Smith had two RBI on two hits with two runs scored.
Hanover used a one run third inning and a one run fifth inning to claim the win. Freshman
Claire King was clutch for the Panthers as she singled up the middle scoring what would be the game winning run.
GAME TWO
Sophomore
Ashley Fulton got the start in the circle throwing two complete before sophomore Alyssa Wheatly pitched relief.
Freshman
Savannah Riley led the Panthers at the plate tallying two RBI on two hits.
