HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (2-5 overall) offense was finding its rhythm on Wednesday afternoon as they welcomed the Bluejays of Elmhurst. Despite falling 11-5, Hanover tallied 14 shots, 10 of which landed on frame.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Five different Panthers recorded goals in the contest, led by
Quinn Cherry with three points. The sophomore scored a goal with two assists.
Her teammate, freshman
Brannon Chubb tallied two points collecting one goal.
In frame, junior
Emma Williams played a full 60 minutes with nine saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bluejays soared ahead 2-0 when Cherry found the back of the net in the early moments of the second period.
Junior
Kaitlyn Madden added a goal later in the frame that saw the Panthers enter the intermission trailing 6-2.
The final period would see both sophomore
Alysha Baker and Chubb secure goals as Hanover surrendered the game 11-5.
The Blue and Red return to action on Sunday, March 29 when they compete at Illinois Wesleyan.
