LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Second half drought sinks Panthers in the Semi-Final round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, as they fell at Spalding 7-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panther defense played big in the early minutes of the first half as they were able to hold Spalding scoreless for nearly the entire first frame. The offense capitalized using their speed to deliver several point blank shots.

Kaitlyn Madden in the middle of the attack zone for a clutch Panther goal, 1-1.
The second period saw the Blue and Red claim their first lead with 13:56 remaining as their precise offensive decisions resulted in a goal, 2-1. Hanover continued to slowly steal momentum as they pelted the net with shot attempts. The two teams entered the intermission locked at 3-3.
Spalding began to surge ahead in the second half using a two goal third period and a two goal fourth frame for the 7-3 victory.

Madden led the Panthers with two goals on six shots, six of which landed on frame.
Cherry finished with one goal and an assist for a combined two points.
