The Hanover men's soccer team celebrated Senior Night with a 2-2 draw against Asbury University on Saturday afternoon at the Hanover Soccer Complex.

Prior to the contest, the Panthers recognized seven seniors for their contributions to the program: John Azzara, Sam Chandler, McLain Barber, Andrew Beck, Evan Tribble, Tyler Miller and Dakota Hettich.

Hanover struck first in the 12th minute when Cole Hubert placed a shot into the upper-right corner of the net, giving the Panthers an early 1-0 advantage.

Asbury responded just over three minutes later as Tyson Absher found the lower-right corner to even the match at 1-1. The score remained tied through halftime despite Hanover controlling much of the offensive action.

The Panthers continued to apply pressure in the second half and reclaimed the lead in the 79th minute. Andrew Pavlisko delivered a low shot into the right side of the net to put Hanover ahead 2-1.

Asbury found the equalizer in the 85th minute, with Absher recording his second goal of the afternoon to bring the contest level at 2-2.

Hanover generated several late opportunities to secure the victory. Senior Andrew Beck placed a shot on goal in the 84th minute, while Joe Luther forced another Asbury save less than two minutes later. The Panthers recorded three shots over the final four minutes but were unable to break the tie.

Hanover controlled the offensive totals, outshooting Asbury 19-3 and holding a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Panthers also earned five corner kicks compared to four for the Eagles.

Pavlisko and Hubert led the scoring effort with one goal apiece. Luther finished with a team-high four shots, while Gavin Yearwood and Pavlisko each added three. Senior John Azzara recorded one shot, and Beck placed his lone attempt on frame.
