HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers fell to DePauw University on Tuesday afternoon, 1-0, at the Hanover Soccer Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The opening half saw both teams battle for control, with DePauw breaking through in the 28th minute. Hockstok found the back of the net to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage on a penalty kick. Hanover had one solid attempt at frame in the first half with
John Azzara smoking the top woodwork.
Hanover entered halftime trailing 1-0 after DePauw held a 4-2 advantage in shots through the opening 45 minutes.
The Panthers increased the pressure in the second half, outshooting DePauw 4-2 while earning four corner kicks. However, Hanover was unable to find the equalizer as the Tigers held on for the 1-0 victory.

Dugan Webster played all 90 minutes for the Panthers and recorded three saves. Hanover finished the contest even with DePauw in total shots at six apiece, while the Tigers held a 4-2 advantage in shots on goal.
