David Carter enters his second year as an assistant coach for the Hanover College men's and women's track team. 

Carter comes to Hanover from Denison University where he earned All-American status in the triple jump. The Columbus, Ohio native was a two-time national qualifier earning USTFCCCA Great Lake All-Region honors on six sperate occasions. He also was a four-time NCAC triple jump Champion and captured All-Ohio honors twice throughout his career. 

Following his career, Carter was awarded the Denison Distinguished Leader Award.
