Candace Clayton joins the Panthers for her sixth year as associate athletic trainer. Her primary assignments include men’s and women’s soccer as well as men’s and women’s lacrosse.

Clayton earned her Bachelor’s of Art degree in 2008 from Purdue University in Health and Kinesiology. A year after graduation she moved to Texas to earn her Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.

In 2012, just prior to her graduation from SFA, Clayton became a board certified athletic trainer. She is a current member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and the Indiana Athletic Trainers' Association.

Clayton is licensed by the state of Indiana to practice as an athletic trainer.
