Entering his fifth season as an assistant coach for the Hanover football team is Jonny West.

West trekked to Hanover after spending two seasons as the quarterback coach for Franklin College, where the Grizzlies won two Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships. West’s guidance also led the FC quarterbacks to HCAC Offensive Player of the Year accolades both seasons.

Prior to joining the staff at Franklin, West enjoyed a stellar career with the Grizzlies. During his playing career, West helped lead the team to four HCAC championships. He was a two-time HCAC Offensive Player of the Year, while also garnering all-conference honors in three seasons.

After his collegiate career, West played two seasons professionally in Europe, where he posted stints with the Turku Trojans (Finland) and the Franken Knights (Germnay).

A 2014 graduate of Franklin, West majored in journalism and public relations.
