HOW IT HAPPENED
The only goal of the contest came late in the opening frame. In the 40th minute, DePauw substitute took on space outside the 18-yard box, and unleashed a long-range strike that found the back of the net to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Hanover pushed forward in search of an equalizer throughout the second half, generating several set-pieces and counterattack looks in the attacking third, but was unable to crack DePauw's defensive line before time expired.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 21 when they travel to Otterbein.
