HANOVER, Ind. – Freshman Kelsey Ketcham (Mishawaka, Ind.) recorded her nation-leading ninth triple-double of the season but it was not enough as Hanover volleyball fell to Rose-Hulman at home in four sets; 25-21, (13-25), (19-25), (16-25).

Ketcham picked up her second triple-double of the week after doing so against DePauw Thursday night. The freshman recorded a team-high 10 kills and 19 assists Saturday, to go along with a career-high 26 digs.

Sophomore Blaise Chaney (Mason, Ohio) and junior Carlie Burson (New Salisbury, Ind.) added nine and seven kills, respectively. Chaney also led the team with five total blocks.

With 31 digs, junior Ally Williams (Fountaintown, Ind.) paced the Panthers. Williams also picked up seven assists. Sophomore Amber Miller (Louisville, Ky.) added 14 digs, while senior Abby Crump (Indianapolis, Ind.) notched eight. Crump tallied 17 assists over four sets as well.

To open the match, Ketcham had six of her team-high kill total in the first set, as HC won 25-21. Tightly contested early, the Blue and Red opened the frame with a 6-2 scoring spurt, going up 15-10. A Ketcham kill extended the lead to six points, the largest of the match for Hanover, and another kill from the freshman closed the set with a four-point margin.

The Fightin' Engineers (16-10, 6-1 HCAC) controlled play for the remainder of the match, as they used early-set runs to take advantage in games two through four. Rose-Hulman led 7-2 to start the second set, 7-3 in the third and 8-3 in the final frame.

Hanover (12-13, 2-4 HCAC) will close out regular season play next week with three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matches. The Panthers, who are still battling for a spot in the HCAC Tournament, will begin the stretch with a 7 p.m. road match at Franklin, Wednesday, Oct. 24.
