NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover women's tennis team bowed out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon falling to Anderson 5-4.

The Panthers opened play with a win at no. 1 doubles as the team of senior
Maddie Shannon (Anderson, Ind.) and freshman
Linde Meerpoel (Wolvertem, Belgium) were able to capture the 8-6 victory. However, Anderson went on to claim the final two matches for the 2-1 advantage heading into singles play.

In singles action, the Panthers found themselves trailing 3-1 after surrendering no. 4 singles before Meerpoel was able to capture no. 2 singles 6-2, 6-1.

The final two victories for Hanover came at no. 5 singles and no. 6 singles. Sophomore
Melaina Tippery (Loogootee, Ind.) claimed her no. 5 singles match 7-5, 6-1, while senior
Cassie Froedge (Louisville, Ky.) won no. 6 singles 7-5, 6-2.
