HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover football team hits the road taking on the Beavers of Bluffton. Kick-off between the Panthers and Beavers is set for 1:30 PM.
HANOVER DOMINATES DEFIANCE
The Panthers return to action after dominating the Yellow Jackets of Defiance 51-0. Hanover was paced in the contest by senior running back
Shawn Coane (Evansville, Ind.) who tied a school record 85-yard rush. Coane tallied 138 total yards in the contest with one touchdown. Senior
Matthew Weimer (Georgetown, Ind.) went 22-for-27 with 238 yards through the air.
BLUFFTON ENTERING THE WEEKEND
The Beavers enter the weekend match-up at 2-4 overall after falling to Franklin 45-6. Leading the charge for Bluffton was Garrett Cora with 99 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Dane Andrews paced the aerial attack as he tallied 111 yards and one TD.
THE LAST MEETING
The last meeting between Hanover and Bluffton saw the Panthers reign victorious as they defeated the Beavers at home 51-44. Coane led the charge with 208 total rushing yards and two touchdowns. He finished the contest averaging 9.0 yards per carry on 23 attempts. As a team, Hanover tallied 549 total yards of offense while Bluffton charted 511 yards.
