Box Score 2 HANOVER, Ind. - The Hanover volleyball team swept Bluffton on Saturday afternoon, winning both matches in five set thrillers. The Panthers improve to 7-3 overall, 3-2 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
In match one, Hanover claimed set one 25-22 before dropping the next two sets against the Beavers. However, the Panthers battled tough rallying to capture the final two sets (25-19, 15-8 ) of the match and claim the victory.
Leading the way for the Blue and Red was sophomore
Emma Harmon (Carmel, Ind.) with a game-high 19 kills, hitting 45.7 percent for the contest. Teammate, junior
Kelsey Ketcham (Mishawaka, Ind.) added 28 assists, while senior
Amber Miller (Louisville, Ky.) charted 13 digs.
Match two also saw a five set thriller as the Panthers dropped set one with Bluffton before taking set two by a score of 25-19. They would go on to claim the final two sets of the afternoon securing the win with a tight 15-11 set five victory.
Hanover was led in the contest by junior
Maddie Edwards (Jasper, Ind.) with 10 kills. Ketcham added 22 assists with 11 digs.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, February 10 when they head to Richmond, Ind. to take on Earlham. The first serve is set for 6:00 PM.
