Men's Lacrosse set to open 2021 season at Centre

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's lacrosse team is set to open the long awaited 2021 spring season this week with a trip to Centre College on Wednesday evening followed by a visit from Concordia on Saturday.

HCLC PRESEASON POLL: The Panthers were picked second overall as part of the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference preseason poll announced earlier this week. Hanover claimed 20 points, while Transylvania took the top spot with 25 points. Anderson finished third overall with 13 points followed by Earlham with 11 points and Mt. St. Joseph with 6 points.

LAST SEASON: Despite playing a shortened season, the Panthers found great success as they tallied 48 total goals through seven contests. Leading the way was senior Ian Kimmins (Dayton, Ohio) with a team-high 13 goals for a .351 shot percentage.

LAST MEETING WITH CENTRE: These two teams last met a season ago as the Colonels claimed the 12-2 victory. Centre currently holds a 10-game win streak against the Panthers dating back to the 2011 season.

WELCOMING CONCORDIA: Hanover and Concordia square off for the third time in program history. The last meeting took place in 2014 with Concordia claiming the 24-10 victory.
