HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's soccer team is set to kick off the 2021 season on Tuesday, March 2 as they hit the road for Earlham, followed by a trip to Anderson on Saturday, March 6.
PRESEASON POLL: The Panthers claimed the top spot as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll, claiming a league best 80 points. Rose-Hulman took second with 71 points, while Mt. St. Joseph rounded out the top three with 63 points.
LAST SEASON: The Blue and Red will look to build on last season as they posted a 11-6-2 mark with a 7-1-1 conference record. They tallied 44 goals, averaging 2.32 goals per game. They tallied an impressive 326 total shots, with 184 falling on frame.
MATCHING UP WITH EARLHAM: The last time these two teams met Hanover claimed the 1-0 victory. With the win, the Panthers boosted their win streak against the Quakers to seven straight games including a perfect 5-0 home record dating back to the 2010 season.
TAKING ON ANDERSON: Last season saw the two teams play to a 1-1 tie. However, the Blue and Red hold a 5-0 record when playing at Anderson and a 8-1-1 overall conference record dating back to the 2010 season.
