Katie Perry (Indianapolis, Ind.) for her many contributions to the Hanover women's soccer program.
The opening half saw the Panthers dominate much of play as junior
Bryn Rolfsen (Loveland, Ohio) got a strong look on frame in the 13
th minute that was blocked. The Blue and Red continued to pressure the net as freshman
Kennedi Roehrig (Lagrange, Ky.) broke the scoreless tie in the 2
1st minute after getting a pass from junior
Maggie Day (Sellersburg, Ind.) who connected with junior
Molly Johnson (Newburgh, Ind.), 1-0.
The Blue and Red struck again in the 31st minute as freshman
Bri Matis (Liberty Twp., Ohio) beat the Beaver defense for another Hanover goal, 2-0. The final blow of the first half would come from freshman
Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.) as she played a pass from Rolfsen that trickled past the Bluffton keeper, 3-0.
The second half saw the Panthers get pressure on frame as junior
Kelsey Hughes (Noblesville, ind.) ripped a shot that was saved by the Beaver keeper. But Hanover refused to give up as sophomore Kate Donavan (Carmel, Ind.) made her way into the scores column as she played a corner kick in the 68
th minute that pushed the difference to 4-0.
The 82
nd minute would see junior
Olivia Shakun (Evansville, Ind.) create some magic as she played a through ball to sophomore
Marigrace Anderson (Batesville, Ind.) en route to the 5-0 lead.
Freshman Carlie Miller (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) netted the final dagger of the afternoon following a penalty kick that saw the Blue and Red claim the 6-0 victory.
Hanover wraps up the regular season on Wednesday, March 31 when they travel to Mt. St. Joseph. Game time is set for 7:30 PM.
