HANOVER, IND. – The Hanover women's soccer team returns to action this week welcoming Transylvania to the Soccer Complex.
LAST WEEK: The Hanover Panthers opened the 2021 season last week posting a perfect 2-0 overall mark as they defeated Earlham, 6-0 before taking down Anderson, 2-1. In the contest with the Quakers, junior
Maggie Day (Sellersburg, Ind.) paced the way as she registered a hat trick in the opening half to propel the Panthers to victory. Freshman
Maggie Hinegardner (Fort Thomas, Ky.) claimed her first career win in frame making the start for the Blue and Red.
In the contest with the Ravens, junior
Kelsey Hughes (Noblesville, Ind.) and freshman
Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.) charted one goal apiece to help secure the conference win. Hanover finished the contest with seven shots, five of which landed on frame.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: Hanover currently leads the conference in goals with eight, while ranking second in scoring average at 2.67. Day leads the conference in goals scored this season with three, while teammate Hughes ranks second with two goals scored. Day also ranks among the league best in total points with six, averaging 3.00 per contest.
LAST MEETING: The last time the Panthers and Pioneers met, Hanover claimed the 3-1 decision improving their win streak to eight straight games. The Blue and Red were led in the contest by junior
