Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Hanover men's tennis team defeated Franklin in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon, 8-1.
 
Hanover opened the afternoon sweeping doubles action. At no. one doubles the team of junior 
Keith Asplund (Jeffersonville, Ind.) and junior 
Pablo Gallart (Serra ,Spain) claimed the victory 8-2, while freshman 
Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) and senior 
Roger Trombley (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) took no. two doubles 8-1.
 
The no. three doubles team of freshman 
Brandon Clunie (Niota, Tenn.) and freshman 
Luke Kroeger (Springfield, Tenn.) claimed the slim 8-7 victory giving HC the 3-0 lead.
 
The success carried into singles action as Asplund registered a perfect 2-0 day winning no. one singles 6-1, 6-0.
 
The no. two singles player for Hanover, Trombley, continued the success as he won 6-2, 6-4. The Panthers dropped a tough no. three singles battle before junior 
Connor Garrison (Louisville, Ky.) defeated the Grizzlies at no. four singles 6-1, 6-0.
 
The final victory of the afternoon came at no. six singles with Clunie winning 6-1, 6-0 to secure the victory.
 
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 10 taking on Rose-Hulman. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
