HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover football team has announced their 2021 schedule with the season-opener slated for Sept. 4 at Centre.
The Panthers then welcome the Bulldogs of Adrian College on Sept. 11 as part of their home opener at Alumni Stadium. The last meeting between these two teams came in 2019 with the Panthers claiming the convincing 49-28 victory.
Hanover hits the road on Sept. 18 competing as part of the MIAA and HCAC crossover before opening Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action with Anderson on Oct. 2. Due to Covid concerns the Ravens and Panthers will clash for the first time since 2019.
On Oct. 9 the Blue and Red hit the road for Rose-Hulman, a contest in the spring of 2021 that determined an HCAC Champion. The Panthers reigned victorious 27-24 over the Fightin' Engineers capturing their third straight HCAC title under the guidance of head coach Matt Theobald.
Hanover then welcomes the Yellow Jackets of Defiance College on Oct. 16 before heading north to Bluffton on Oct. 23.
On Oct. 30 the Panthers will celebrate Hall of Fame Day welcoming Manchester for a 1:30 PM kick-off from Alumni Stadium.
The final road trip of the 2021 season will come on Nov. 6 as the Blue and Red head to Mount St. Joseph. The last meeting between to the two teams came in 2019 with the Panthers claiming the 27-3 victory at Schueler Field on the campus of Mount St. Joseph.
Hanover wraps up the regular season on Nov. 13 as they welcome area-rival Franklin for the playing of the 91
st Victory Bell Game. The Panthers currently hold a 45-42-3 overall record including winners of three straight.
