NICHOLASVILLE, KY. – The Hanover women's tennis team bowed out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon as they fell to Transylvania in the semi-finals 5-1.
The Pioneers swept doubles action for the 3-0 advantage before taking no. 2 singles 6-1, 6-2.
The Hanover bright spot came at no. 6 singles with junior
Cassie Froedge (Louisville, Ky.) winning her match 6-0, 6-1.
Transylvania secured the victory with a win at no. 3 singles that saw freshman
Rachel Pinnick (Franklin, Ind.) drop a competitive 6-0, 6-4 decision.
Hanover wraps-up the 2021 spring season at 3-5 overall and 2-3 in HCAC action.
