The Panther Volleyball team is set to open the 2021 season at Spalding

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's volleyball team announced their 2021 fall schedule on Thursday afternoon with the season opener slated for Sept. 1 at Spalding.

The last meeting between the Panthers and Golden Eagles came in 2019 with Hanover sweeping the home and away series in thrilling fashion.

The Blue and Red will then hit the road for Ohio on Sept. 3 when they compete as part of the Ohio Northern Tournament. The Panthers open action with host ONU before closing out the afternoon with Denison. Hanover will wrap-up the weekend with Muskingum on Sept. 4.

The Panthers and Fighting Muskies square-off for the first time since the 2018 season when Hanover claimed the convincing 3-1 victory.

The home opener is slated for Sept. 10 and Sept. 11 with the Blue and Red welcoming Ohio Athletic Conference foes Capital and Otterbein. They then return to the road on Sept. 14 taking on Indiana University Southeast.

The Hanover College Tournament is slated for Sept. 17 and Sept. 18 featuring match-ups with Berea, Spalding, Trine, and Wilmington.

On Sept. 21, the Panthers hit the road for Boyce College before heading to Lexington, Ky. for the Transylvania Tournament on Sept. 25.

Hanover opens Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Oct. 1 when they welcome Manchester for Homecoming.

The Panthers then play host to Earlham on Oct. 6 before hitting the highway for Defiance on Oct. 9. Last season saw the Panthers sweep the Yellow Jackets in a doubleheader 3-0, 3-0.

The Lions on Mount St. Joseph come to campus on Oct. 13 before Hanover heads north to face the Beavers of Bluffton on Oct. 16.

On Oct. 20, Hanover returns to Lexington, Ky. to face-off with Transylvania in HCAC action. The Blue and Red will look to bounce back from the 2021 spring season that saw them fall 3-0, 3-0.

Non-conference foe Centre will kick-off a three game home stint for the Panthers on Oct. 21. Anderson comes to Collier Arena on Oct. 23 before area-rival Franklin pays a visit on Oct. 27.

Hanover concludes the 2021 regular season on Oct. 26 with a trip to Terre Haute, Ind. taking on Rose-Hulman.

The HCAC tournament is slated for Nov. 3.
