| D3Football.com Preseason All-America Team | 
HANOVER, Ind. – Senior Shawn Coane (Evansville, Ind.) was named a member of the 2021 D3football.com Preseason All-America Team announced Monday afternoon.
 
The senior running back enters the 2021 campaign as the school record holder in rushing yards (3,163), all-time points scored, and touchdowns (19) in a season.
 
He concluded the 2020 spring season averaging 105.0 yards per game while tallying six touchdowns through four contests.
 
He is a three-time HCAC First Team selection, as well as the 2019 HCAC Offensive Player of the Year. He has helped guide the Panthers to three consecutive HCAC titles and two NCAA Tournament berths.
 
Coane is one of two student-athletes from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to receive the honor.
 
The Panthers are set to open the 2021 fall season Saturday, Sept. 4 at Centre.
