HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover football team hits the road this weekend taking on non-conference foe Albion College. The Panthers enter the contest at 1-1 overall after defeating MIAA opponent Adrian 21-14 a week ago.
 
WEEKEND REWIND
Hanover welcomed Adrian to Alumni Stadium, defeating the Bulldogs in dramatic fashion, 21-14. The Panthers entered the fourth quarter knotted at 14-14 when senior Matthew Weimer (Georgetown, Ind.) went to work. With just 1:12 remaining in the contest, Weimer found freshman, wide receiver, Jalen Peck (Bloomington, Ind.) in the endzone for the go-ahead score. Hanover was led in the contest by Weimer with a game-high 209 yards through the air, while senior Shawn Coane (Evansville, Ind.) added 128 yards on the ground.
 
HCAC DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Junior Devonte Hardiman (Princeton, Ind.) capped off an impressive week by winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week announced Monday afternoon by the league office. The junior played a key role in helping the Blue and Red defeat Adrian as he turned in 10 total tackles, including eight solo stops. Hardiman also added three sacks with four tackles for loss.

Hanover enters the contest averaging 27.50 points per game, with 923 total yards of offense. They have thrown for four touchdowns, while picking up four touchdowns on the ground. The Britons come in averaging 43.50 points per game, with 906 total yards of offense. They have tallied 10 total offensive touchdowns, with seven coming through the air.

Albion sits at 2-0 overall after defeating HCAC opponent Defiance 51-0. Pacing the Briton attack was quarterback Jack Bush with 210 yards and three touchdowns. Running back, Jones Phillip added 128 yards on nine carries with one TD. He finished the afternoon averaging 14.1 yards per carry.
