HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers dropped a tough 2-0 battle with no. 3 ranked Washington and Lee on Friday afternoon moving to 3-2-1 overall on the season.
The Blue and Red were paced in the contest by senior
Luke Eppler (Evansville, Ind.) with a team-high two shots, one of which landed on goal. In frame, sophomore
Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) got that start making three saves through 90 minutes of work.
The first blow of the contest came in the 29
th minute as the Generals beat the Panther backline for the 1-0 halftime lead.
They would tack on an insurance goal late in the second half as they were able to secure the hard fought 2-0 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 18 when they take on Wabash. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
