BEREA, Ky. – First half outburst saw the Blue and Red shoot past non-conference foe Berea College on Wednesday evening 4-1.
Hanover was led in the contest by freshman
Joao Domenici (Alphaville, Brazil) with a game-high two goals. The two goals were the first of his career. Seniors
Josh Hughes (Lafayette, La.) and
Carlos Schryver (Sao Paulo, Brazil) also added one goal a piece.
The first Panther goal came just 10 minutes into the opening half as Hughes beat the Berea defenseman for the 1-0 lead.
Domenici added his first career strike in the 36
th minute as he received a pass from teammate senior
Sam Graber (Louisville, Ky.) to extended the HC advantage to 2-0. His final blow of the contest came just moments before halftime as he gave Hanover the commanding 3-0 lead.
The second half would see Schryver make his way into the scores column following a penalty kick in the 47
th minute that propelled the Blue and Red to the 4-1 victory.
In frame, freshman
Yoann Kinanga (Jeffersonville, Ind.) charted 60 quality minutes with two saves for the Panthers.
Hanover returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 14 when they take on Centre. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
