FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Hanover (6-4-3 overall, 4-0-1 HCAC) men's soccer team used a strong second half surge to defeat Franklin, 2-0.
Leading the Panthers was junior
Joel Yann (Louisville, Ky.) and freshman
Omar Dizdar (Bardstown, Ky.) with one goal apiece. Yann and sophomore
Joao Domenici (Alphaville, Brazil) added a game-high three shots each.
After a scoreless first half, the Panther offense erupted. Yann delivered the first strike as he took a pass from Dizdar in the 85
th minute propelling HC in front 1-0.
Hanover wasted little time netting their second goal as Dizdar made his way into the score's column after an assist by junior
Xander Ochsner (Floyds Knobs, Ind.), 2-0.
Hanover finished with a game-high 14 shots, seven of which landed on frame.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 when they travel to Anderson. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
