Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (8-2-2 overall, 4-0-1 HCAC) ran past Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Franklin on Wednesday afternoon 6-0.
 
Sophomore Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio) netted two goals pulling her season total to 19 goals, just two shy of the single season record, to pace the Panther attack.
 
The Hanover defense turned in an impressive afternoon allowing just four shots with a huge penalty kick save by junior goalkeeper Sabrina Henderson (Evansville, Ind.).
 
Hanover dominated the home pitch from the opening kickoff as Cook found sophomore Nora Ludwig (Cincinnati, Ohio) for the team's first strike just three minutes into the contest, 1-0.
 
The assault on net continued as Cook extended her goal streak to eight straight games taking a pass from junior Callen Johnson (Ashland, Ky.) for the 2-0 difference.
 
At the 27 minute mark, Cook landed her second goal of the contest with Ludwig dealing up the assist off a corner kick, 3-0.
 
The final goal of the opening half came from the foot of freshman Lauren Rainbolt (Carmel, Ind.) who took a pass from freshman Emily Duffey (Cincinnati, Ohio) for her first career goal, 4-0.
 
Freshman Kenna Patterson (Bloomington, Ind.) added to the scoring frenzy in the second half as she netted a ball in the upper 90 pushing the lead to 5-0.
 
With just over 26 minutes remaining in the contest, junior Bri Matis (Liberty Twp., Ohio) delt the game's final blow off a deflected save by the Grizzly defense, 6-0.
 
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 when they travel to Anderson. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
