HANOVER, Ind. – Freshman
Alex Farias (Louisville, Ky.) connected on a corner kick in the opening minutes to propel the Panthers (4-4-3 overall, 2-1-1 HCAC) past Transylvania in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon 4-0.
Hanover finished the contest with 16 shots, 12 of which landed on frame.
Just 1:34 into the contest, the Panthers were able to draw a corner kick that Farias bent to the top corner of the goal beating the Transylvania keeper, 1-0.
Hanover extended their difference to 2-0 in the 28
th minute as freshman
Omar Dizdar (Bardstown, Ky.) found his first goal of the 2022 campaign following an assist by junior
Xander Ochsner (Floyd Knobs, Ind.).
The Panthers added two goals in the second half as sophomore
Joao Domenici (Alphaville, Brazil) netted a penalty kick in the 70
th minute before a freshman
David Snowden (Goshen, Ky.) goal in the 84
th minute sent HC to victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 when they welcome Defiance to the Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
