Women's Soccer battles to 1-1 draw at Transylvania

Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Hanover women's soccer team (6-2-2 overall, 2-0-1 HCAC) battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening at Transylvania in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
 
Sophomore Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio)  led the charge with one goal and a game-high nine shots.
 
Cook pushed her goal streak to six straight games as she delivered the game's first blow in the 35th minute off an assist by junior Bri Matis (Liberty Twp., Ohio), 1-0.
 
However, the second half saw the Pioneers respond with the equalizer in the 61st minute as they were able to navigate the Panther defense for the game tying strike, 1-1.
 
Hanover finished with a game best 15 shots, nine of which landed on frame.
 
The Blue and Red returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 when the welcome Defiance for Homecoming. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
