SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Hanover Panthers hit the road competing at Wittenberg, falling in the Invitational to nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace 71-48.
 
Leading Hanover was junior Taylor Heath (Fairland, Ind.) with a team high 11 points. Sophomore Katherine Benter (Brownstown, Ind.) added eight points for the Blue and Red.
 
Baldwin Wallace surged ahead early in the first quarter when senior Callie Wilder (North Vernon, Ind.) hit a jumper in the lane that halted the charge. Hanover continued to rally with Benter hitting a jumper in the lane that propelled HC into the second quarter training just 14-9.
 
The second quarter saw the HC offense erupt as they sank a pair of back-to-back jumpers swinging the lead in their favor, 14-11. However, the Yellow Jackets spoiled the party entering the half with the 10-point lead.
 
They would go on to dominate the second half en route to the convincing 71-48 win.
 
Hanover returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 20 when they take on host Wittenberg. Game time is set for 2:00. PM.
