CARMEL, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers landed seven on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-HCAC team announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Hanover saw two earn First Team honors in sophomore
Joao Domenici (Alphaville, Brazil) and senior
Sean Fleming (Louisville, Ky.) while junior
Clayton Anderson (La Grange, Ky.), freshman
Alex Farias (Louisville, Ky.), senior
Fernando Martin (Sao Jose Do Rio Preto, Brazil), and junior
Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) were named Second Team All-HCAC. Junior
Xander Ochsner (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) rounded out the awards being named Honorable Mention.
Domenici appeared in and started 19 games for the Panthers with nine goals and one assist. He tallied 19 points on a team best 66 shots, 34 of which landed on frame.
Fleming netted one goal on 10 shots for Hanover in 2022. He appeared in 18 games charting one game winning strike.
Teammate, Anderson guided a Panther defense that surrendered just 14 goals. He played in 19 games with two shots.
Farias rounded out the First Team honors for the Blue and Red making 19 starts. The freshman netted two goals and added two assists.
Martin posted an impressive senior season appearing in 17 games with three goals for a combined six points. He fired off 23 shots with 11 landing on frame.
In goal, Salemi dominated the 2022 season making 19 starts. The junior ranked second in the HCAC in goals against average at 0.77 with 74 saves and 10 wins. He charted four shoutouts and a 3.89 save per game mark, ranking seventh among the league.
Ochsner rounded out the honors for Hanover as he appeared in 19 games. He added four assists and tallied 34 shots.
