HANOVER, Ind. – It was raining three-pointers inside Collier Arena Wednesday evening as the Panthers (6-2 overall, 3-0 HCAC) took on Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Rose-Hulman. Hanover defeated the Fightin' Engineers, 83-71.

Jack Wininger (Elnora, Ind.) created the storm with a game and career-high 33 points. He also netted a career best nine three-pointers. Senior
Ty Houston (Union, Ky.) added 19 points. As a unit, the Panthers lit up the skies shooting an impressive 54.8 percent from three-point.
The opening half saw both teams with a perfect mark from the field before a Rose-Hulman missed three-pointer pushed HC in front 12-6. The deep ball rained down for the Panthers as sophomore
Coleman Sater (Ellettsville, Ind.) dealt a blow before a sophomore
Michael Donoho (Rockport, Ind.) three-pointer knotted the contest at 22-22 with just under 10 minutes to play.
The back-an-forth battle ensued as Rose-Hulman claimed the slim 31-29 margin when Houston responded with six straight points to flip the script. Collier Arena continued to heat-up as Wininger netted the final first half blow from behind the arc to push HC into the half with the 46-36 advantage.
Hanover entered the intermission with an impressive 61.5 percent mark from three-point land, led by Wininger with three 3-pointers.
The temperature continued to rise inside Collier Arena when Rose-Hulman opened the second half with a hot start before another Wininger three-pointer halted the surge. The one-two punch of junior
Max Greenamoyer (Zionsville, Ind.) and Wininger prevailed for what would become the necessary daggers for Hanover en route to the 83-71 HCAC victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, December 17 when they travel to Anderson for HCAC action. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
