Hanover men's basketball to participate in "This Game Is No Secret" on Wednesday

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover men's basketball team is joining the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and Anderson University in participating in the "The Game Is No Secret" event on Wednesday evening.

The event is an opportunity for players, coaches, and fans to learn more about the iconic secret game, in which Coach John McLendon's North Carolina College for Negroes (now North Carolina Central) defeated Duke in 1944, 88-44, a game that was played in secret due to Jim Crows law

The first known publication of "The Secret Game" was originally published by Scott Ellsworth in the New York Times Magazine on March 31, 1996.
