Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers celebrated Senior Night on Friday evening with a victory over Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Mt. St. Joseph, 78-42. With the win, Hanover secured an HCAC Tournament opening round home game on Sunday, Feb. 20.

Lanette Blume (St. Anthony, Ind.),
Liz Tynan (Columbus, Ind.),
Kat Norman (Columbus, Ind.) and
Lexi Riggles (Danville, Ind.) for their many contributions to the women's basketball program.
The Panthers landed four players in double figures led by freshman
Katherine Benter (Brownstown, Ind.) with a game-high 14 points. Freshman
Taylor Heath (Fairland, Ind.) added 12 points, while freshman
Grace Bezold (Covington, Ky.) and sophomore
Addie Gardner (Anderson, Ind.) netted 11 points apiece.
The Blue and Red established their offense from the opening tip-off using a 6-0 run to jump ahead 11-2. Benter paced the charge for the Panthers as she notched a perfect 3-for-3 mark from three-point to extend the HC lead, 27-8.
The full court pressure continued to reign successful in the second quarter as sophomore
Reese Sexton (Louisville, Ky.) picked up a steal that set Bezold up for an easy jumper in the lane. Hanover entered the intermission with the convincing 44-22 lead.
Hanover continued to share the wealth in the second half using selfless play to push the difference to 52-24. Gardner dealt the final blow of the third quarter to give HC the 60-27 lead.
The rest was history as Hanover shot past MSJ in rout to the regular season victory.
The Panthers return to action on Sunday, Feb. 20 when they compete as part of the HCAC Tournament.
