FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers used a balanced attack to dominate Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Franklin on Wednesday evening, 92-67.
The Panthers were led by sophomore
Max Greenamoyer (Zionsville, Ind.) with 23 points, including a 4-of-8 mark from deep. Junior
Ty Houston (Union, Ky.) added 20 points and three, three-pointers.
Senior
Isaac Hibbard (New Albany, Ind.) etched his name into the record books, tying the Hanover men's basketball career assists record of 357, he finished the contest with seven.
In the opening half, Hanover established their offense early using a 13-0 run to jump to the 14-4 advantage. They continued to fire on all cylinders as Houston hit a jumper with just under five minutes remaining before a junior
Jack Wininger (Elnora, Ind.) deep ball extended the difference to 36-22.
The Blue and Red entered the intermission with the 41-27 lead following a Hibbard deep strike.
The Panthers never let off the throttle as Greenamoyer hit a jumper in the lane at the 14:21 mark, giving HC their largest lead to date 58-36. That would be all she wrote for the Grizzlies as a freshman
Luke Miller (Madison, Ind.) two-point bucket propelled Hanover to a 37-point advantage in rout to the victory.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 12 when they travel to Manchester. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
