Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Hanover Panthers opened Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon defeating the Pioneers of Transylvania, 6-3.
 
Hanover opened the match with a pair of key doubles victories as the team of junior Jedrek Brodzki 9Warsaw, Poland) and senior Pablo Gallart (Serra, Spain) claimed their no. 2 doubles match 8-4.
 
The team of freshman Alberto Castillo (Pozuelo De Alarcon, Spain) and freshman Charley Williams (Jeffersonville, Ind.) picked up the no. 3 doubles win by a score of 8-7, to push HC to the 2-1 advantage heading into singles play.
 
In singles action, sophomore Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) claimed a Panther win as part of no. 2 singles 6-1, 6-0. His teammate, Brodzki found success at no. 3 singles claiming the match 6-2, 6-3.
 
The success continued for the Blue and Red as senior Connor Garrison (Louisville, Ky.) dominated no. 5 singles before freshman Tyler Brunty (Crawfordsville, Ind.) secured the victory winning no. 6 singles.
 
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 2 when they play host to Franklin. First serve is set for 12:00 PM.
