Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Breeding nets a career-high to lead HC past Heidelberg

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's lacrosse team welcomed Heidelberg to Alumni Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they dominated the Student Princes 17-5.

Hanover was led in the contest by senior Anne Breeding (Miamisburg, Ohio) with a career-high seven goals, breaking her previous best of six set earlier this season.

The Blue and Red scored early and often as a balanced attack with goals by senior Milah Young (Granger, Ind.), sophomore Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) and senior Britney Hernandez (Louisville, Ky.) gave HC the 3-0 advantage.

The Berg would get one back with just over six minutes to play in the opening frame when Hernandez delt her second strike of the afternoon, 4-1.

The Panther assault on frame continued as they connected for seven second quarter goals, paced by Breeding with four strikes, 11-2.

The second half saw Heidelberg pull within 11-4 when Breeding provided another pair of back-to-back blows sending HC into the final frame with the convincing 14-4 lead.

Hanover added three fourth quarter goals in rout to the 17-5 victory.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, April 1 when they host Southwestern. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
