MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Panthers dropped a competitive non-conference matchup with Kean on Friday afternoon, falling 9-5.

Sophomore
Marcus Goodpaster (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the call to the mound for the Panthers as he pitched five complete innings with six strikeouts.

After surrendering three runs in the top of the first inning the Panther settled in. Sophomore
Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) continued to have the hot bat as he homered to right field pulling HC within 3-1.

The second inning would see Kean tack on two more runs before freshman

Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.) to scoring position. Freshman
Andrew Oesterling (Batesville, Ind.) picked up the RBI on the next at-bat as he delivered with a sacrifice fly to center field, 5-2.

Hanover added another run in the bottom of the fifth inning as senior
Andrew Littlefield (Louisville, Ky.) connected for a sacrifice fly that pulled HC within 5-3 before Danneman singled to left field in the sixth inning scoring junior
Jacob Dupps (Louisville, Ky.).

However, Kean remained poise as they tallied a four run seventh inning to secure the non-conference 9-5 win.
