Tennis sweeps Franklin to remain perfect in HCAC action

Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers moved to 2-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action this afternoon as they dominated Franklin 9-0.
 
Hanover surged ahead early claiming all three doubles matches. The no. 1 doubles team of senior Connor Garrison (Louisville, Ky.) and sophomore Joey Keal (Louisville, Ky.) claimed the impressive 8-1 victory, while the team of junior Jedrek Brodzki (Warsaw, Poland) and senior Pablo Gallart (Serra, Spain) took no . 2 doubles 8-2.
 
Rounding out doubles play was the no. 3 double team of freshman Pedro Macedo (Petropolis, Brazil) and freshman Charley Williams 9Jeffersonville, Ind.)winning 8-2.
 
In singles action, Gallart claimed his no. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-0.
 
Keal picked up his second victory of the afternoon as he captured no. 2 singles 6-0, 6-2, while teammate Brodzki won his no. 3 singles match 6-1, 6-0.
 
Closing out the HCAC rival for the Blue and Red were Garrison winning no. 4 singles (6-3, 6-3), sophomore Luke Kroger (Springfield, Tenn.) taking no. 5 singles in dramatic fashion (4-6, 6-1, 10-4), and freshman Tyler Brunty 9Crawfordsville, Ind.) sweeping no. 6 singles (6-0, 6-3).
 
The Panthers return to action on Thursday, April 7 when they host Wabash.
