HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's lacrosse team advanced to the Championship contest of the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Tournament, defeating rival Franklin 14-9.

Teammate, senior Anne Breeding (Miamisburg, Ohio) added three goals and three assists for a game-high six points.

After surrendering the first goal to the Grizzlies, the Panther attack pounced rattling off six straight first quarter blows. Senior Milah Young (Granger, Ind.) paced the surge as she netted a pair of back-to-back goals that helped push Hanover on top 6-1.

Franklin provided a pair of goals to open the second frame when sophomore Taylor McNally-Henriksen halted the charge with back-to-back strikes of her own, 8-3.

Hernandez netted the final goal of the first half sending the Panthers into the intermission with the 9-4 advantage.
