CHICAGO, Ill – The Panthers competed as part of the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Tournament taking on no. 2 seed from the south division Southwestern (Tex.). The Blue and Red fell in the contest 18-3.
The Panthers found themselves trailing 2-0 early in the first frame when sophomore
Nick Adams (Greenwood, Ind.) added his 24
th strike of the season at the 4:15 mark.
However, the Pirates spoiled the excitement rattling off six straight goals to claim the 8-1 advantage.
Freshman
Alex Kleinhelter (Fishers, Ind.) halted the surge providing the Panthers final goal of the first half sending them into the intermission with the 10-2 deficit.
The Panther lone second half goal came from the stick of freshman
Owen Parker O'Fallon, Mo.) as Southwestern (Tex.) secured the HCLC Tournament advancing victory.
Hanover concludes the season at 10-5 overall and winners of the regular season north division.
