Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – Hanover (9-1-3 overall, 5-0 HCAC) remained perfect in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action defeating area rival Franklin as part of Homecoming week action, 3-0.
Senior Maggie HInegardner (Fort Thomas, Ky.) picked up the win in frame playing a full 90 minutes with two saves. As a defensive unit, the Blue and Red held Franklin to just four total shots.
The veteran senior
Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.) set the tone early for the Blue and Red as she played a pass from junior
Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio) in the 18
th minute for the 1-0 lead.
Reeves continued on the attack adding her second goal of the half just minutes later following a helper by freshman Kaleigh Schrimer (Amelia, Ohio), 2-0.
In the second half, the Panthers extended their lead with freshman
Cam Horsley (Mooresville, Ind.) entering the scores column off a dish from sophomore
Olivia Patel (Batavia, Ohio), 3-0.
The final Hanover goal came in the 83
rd minute from the foot of senior
Kennedi Roehrig (Lagrange, Ky.) propelling HC to the 4-0 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 14 when they travel to Bluffton. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
