Box Score BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Hanover women's soccer team (10-1-3 overall, 6-0 HCAC) remained perfect in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action with a convincing road win at Bluffton, 6-1.
Junior
Beth Cook (Goshen, Ohio) claimed her fifth double digit scoring contest finishing with two goals on 15 shots.
She propelled Hanover in front at the 18 minute mark playing a pass from senior
Kennedi Roehrig (Lagrange, Ky.) for the 1-0 advantage.
The Panthers extended their lead with junior
Nora Ludwig (Cincinnati, Ohio) connecting for a blow that saw HC claim the 2-0 difference.
However, the home team refused to be shutout finding the back of the net in the 28
th minute, 2-1.
The final first half blow came at the foot of sophomore
Lauren Rainbolt (Carmel, Ind.) off a sophomore
Olivia Patel (Batavia, Ohio) helper.
Hanover blew the contest wide open just moments into the second frame with Cook adding her second goal of the afternoon. Sophomore
Erin Terry (Indianapolis, Ind.) dealt the assist sending HC to the 4-1 lead.
Another Hanover goal came in the 78
th minute as Rainbolt claimed the goal propelling Hanover out front 5-1.
The last strike landed in frame in the 88
th minute as sophomore
Emily Duffey (Cincinnati, Ohio) hammered it home.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 18 when they travel to Mt. St. Joseph. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
